This is the aftermath of a crash involving a police vehicle in Rochdale this evening. A second car was also involved in the smash, which happened in Upper George Street at 5.50pm.
Pictures from the scene showed the damage to the police vehicle, which was parked up by the junction with Stott Street. Eyewitness reported seeing a large police presence in the area following the incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At 5.50pm on Tuesday 27 June, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Upper George Street, Rochdale. “One fire engine from Littleborough station quickly attended the scene.
