As the temperatures continue to drop, many homes across the UK are battling with condensation. It's a familiar annoyance - you wake up, draw back the curtains and your windows are dripping with moisture.

The worry of how to eliminate it is something many face on chilly mornings. Condensation emerges due to warm, moist air hitting cooler surfaces, resulting in moisture on windows, walls and even mirrors.

While it might seem like a ceaseless issue, there's talk of a simple one-ingredient solution circulating online. A viral TikTok hack suggests that bicarbonate of soda could be the answer to banishing condensation for good.

The online tip recommends placing a bowl of bicarbonate near the problem spot and letting it work its magic by drawing in the dampness, and leaving behind sparkling windows.
