Philippe Clement has branded the incident that injured Ross McCausland as "too dangerous". The Rangers star was forced off during the first half after being unable to continue following a challenge from matchwinner Dan Casey.
That sparked uproar in the stands with Belgian boss Clement also left 'very disappointed'. He has called on referees to protect the game and players from these type of challenges insisting there was too much intensity in it.
It comes after the Light Blues were shocked at Ibrox as Motherwell ran out 2-1 winners to create a major upset and also blow the title race wide open.
Clement and Co remain at the summit but can be leapfrogged by Celtic and Brendan Rodgers tomorrow if they are able to pick up all three points at Tynecastle against Hearts.
