Patrick Vieira outlines Crystal Palace weaknesses ahead of Aston Villa clash

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has highlighted the areas in which his team will need to improve in if they are to get their first win of the season against Aston Villa Steven Gerrard will line his Villa squad up at Selhurst Park for the second time since he was appointed to the role last November, and the Villa boss will be keen to replicate last seasons outcome, which saw his side record a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Matt Targett and John McGinn.

Villa have enjoyed a turbulent beginning to the new campaign, with a disappointing loss to Bournemouth in their opening fixture but have since bounced back to beat Frank Lampard's Everton side last week.

The Eagles have endured a slightly more challenging start to the season, with tough fixtures against both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Vieira's men did however manage to hold Jurgen Klopp's side to a 1-1 draw at Anfield, with their opponents being reduced to 10 men following a red card for Darwin Nunez.
