Oscar Bobb wasn't happy with his performance in Manchester City's 5-3 win over Yokohama Marinos. City got their pre-season off to a positive if at times sloppy start on Sunday in an entertaining game in Tokyo that was often challenging.
The hosts are mid-way through their own league season so were in much better condition than Pep Guadiola's side, who have only been in training for a few days.
Yokohama went two goals ahead after taking advantage of poor defending but after the shock, City woke themselves up. John Stones got the ball rolling with a sweeping finish into the top corner before Julian Alvarez tapped home the leveller after Kalvin Phillips won the ball off the goalkeeper.
The break saw all outfielders changed and City took the ascendancy when Erling Haaland scored within his first three touches.
