Newcastle United ‘really like’ Leeds United winger Jack Harrison and could move for his signature again in the January transfer window, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs. The Magpies splashed more than £120 million in an effort to bolster Eddie Howe’s squad at St James’ Park during the summer and they will have the chance to invest again at the turn of the year.

After clinging onto the services of the 25-year-old following the end of last season, Leeds are set to open fresh contract talks after he entered the final two years of his £60,000 per-week deal, according to Football Insider.

The report adds that Leeds want to hand Harrison terms that reflect his status as one of the most important members of Jesse Marsch’s side.

But, after missing out on him during the summer, Newcastle have not given up on securing the winger’s services and he is set to be targeted again in January.
