The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has said that its yearly golf competition will foster stronger relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, as well as, promote health and physical fitness among members.Chairman, Nigeria-British Golf, Uwamai Igein, said the event, slated for November 8, symbolises its commitment to fostering stronger business relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom while promoting the crucial message of health, wellness, and success in both personal and professional spheres.Noting the importance of health and fitness in business success, he said regular exercise had been proven to not only promote physical fitness, but also enhance mental clarity, creativity, focus, and resilience—all critical components of business success.According to him, promoting health and wellness through sports like golf is a powerful message that demonstrates a commitment not just to economic growth but to the well-being of the community.Igein said the tournament would serve as an opportunity for business leaders from Nigeria and the UK to strengthen relationships, explore trade opportunities, and discuss how they could mutually benefit from the vast economic potential that exists between the two nations.“But beyond the metaphorical lessons, the physical benefits of exercise cannot be overlooked.

We live in an era where stress, long hours, and sedentary lifestyles are common in the business world. These pressures can lead to burnout, poor decision-making, and, eventually, a decrease in productivity.

Studies have shown that exercise boosts the release of endorphins—our body’s natural stress relievers—and improves overall mental well-being, thereby helping us to approach challenges with a clearer mind
