Cal Crutchlow prepares to say goodbye, again, to competitive racing this weekend as MotoGP arrives at Valencia. His final of six race events as part of the WithU RNF squad calls time on both the Brit’s return to the premier class, and the team’s partnership with Yamaha as it switches to Aprilia from Tuesday’s test.
Scoring points from four the five outings across recent weeks, Crutchlow is looking for more of the same as he attempts to bow out on a high once again at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
There has been no stopping the 36-year-old of late, however, after a quick trip back from Malaysia saw him jump directly into his Factory Yamaha test role at Circuito do Jerez - Angel Nieto last week. “I’m looking forward to Valencia with the WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team,” Crutchlow confirmed ahead of the final showing of 2022. “We had some positive races so far and we hope to have another positive one in Valencia for the team and for Yamaha likewise. “We have been working hard in Jerez with the 2023 bike for the future.
