Luka Modric belum mau mengungkap keputusannya soal masa depannya di Timnas Kroasia. Ia sempat dikabarkan bakal pensiun dari Kroasia usai final UEFA Nations League.

Modric kembali harus mengubur mimpi untuk membawa Kroasia juara. Kroasia harus kalah 5-4 lewat adu penalti dari Spanyol di final UEFA Nations League yang digelar di De Kuip, Roterdam, Belanda, Senin (19/6).

Laga harus ditentukan lewat babak tos-tosan setelah tanpa gol hingga perpanjangan waktu tuntas. Pada babak adu penalti, dua penendang Kroasia, Lovro Majer dan Bruno Petkovic gagal menjalankan tugasnya.

Veteran Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric will stay at the club for another season after renewing his deal until June 2024, the Spanish side said Monday.Modric, 37, remains a key player for Madrid and decided to stay despite strong interest from Saudi Arabia, looking to recruit him at the end of his previous contract, which expires this month. The Croatian follows Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos and Nacho Fernandez in extending his time at Madrid this summer. "In his 11 seasons defending our shirt, he has played 488 games and won 23 trophies," said Real Madrid in a statement.
