Mile Jedinak has revealed it was a trip to Celtic that proved pivotal in paving his route to becoming a coach at Tottenham. The former Australia midfielder was offered an assistant role at the Premier League giants when Ange Postecoglou left Parkhead after two glittering years for London.
During the former Socceroos manager's time at the Premiership champions, he invited Jedinak for a peek at the environment he created.
Communication was always kept with his former national team boss but now he stands by his side in the Tottenham pressure cooker.
And Jedinak has told Optus Sport that his presence at Celtic had not changed from his time as a player. He said: "We'd text each other, especially when he was in Japan, those key milestones when you win things you say congratulations.
