Aston Villa were 2-0 up at half-time and appeared destined to compound more misery on Erik ten Hag but United came out swinging in the second half.

Two brilliant goals from Alejandro Garnacho pegged the hosts back before Hojlund bagged a dream winner with eight minutes remaining.
