The cost of living crisis clearly hit the cobbles last week when the eagle-eyed viewers spotted the big change in the much-loved character's prices in his beloved Roy's Rolls cafe on the famous street.
Sharing snaps of Roy’s menu boards, Twitter user @GregorSwanson revealed that pie, chips and mushy peas used to be £2.60 - but three months on the cost of the meal had more than doubled and had been increased to £5.50.
