Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis is urging Brits to try a simple 'stoozing' technique to get free money from their banks. The founder of MoneySavingExpert (MSE) says if you do it right, it's risk free.

He explained what stoozing is and how to do it successfully in his weekly MSE newsletter. With bills rising, it's a good way to get an extra bit of cash to help with heating bills and food shops at supermarkets like ASDA, Aldi, Teso, Morrisons, Lidl and Sainsbury's.

The basic idea behind stoozing is to make money by getting interest on cash credit card firms lend at 0%. It works like this.

First, take out a credit card with 0% interest. Do your normal everyday spending using that card. READ MORE: The Range takes on B&M for world's 'dodgiest' Xmas decoration and shoppers are speechless As you do that, put the cash in your bank account into savings deals paying interest.
