Marcus Rashford put an end to his goal drought on Tuesday night with an excellent effort in England's 3-1 win over Italy. Gareth Southgate's side booked their place in next summer's European Championship with a brilliant performance against the current holders, Rashford firing home the second goal of the night in typically clinical fashion.
Picking up the ball on the left wing, he cut inside with pace and arrowed a deadly finish past Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 25-year-old has struggled so far this season, failing to score in nine consecutive appearances for club and country before Tuesday.
That run coincided with a dismal streak for United, who lost four matches from six, and pressure had been growing on Erik ten Hag to drop last season's top goalscorer.
