Manchester weather forecast for week ahead - sun, showers and risk of thunder

If you were hoping for a week of hanging the washing on the line, mowing the lawns and planting the vegetable boxes - you might to think again.

The weather in Manchester is set to be up and down all week - with thunder potentially on the forecast. Across Greater Manchester, residents can expect some brighter days, with heavy showers and winds on the way, too.

According to the Met Office, today will see sunny spells, but you may still want to take your umbrella out. Becoming drier into the afternoon with sunny spells developing and winds easing. Maximum temperature 12 °C.” Later tonight will be largely dry, but will ‘become increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of rain likely’, and light wind into the morning with lows of 6°C Tomorrow is also predicted to be ‘largely dry with some brighter spells’.
