Manchester United may be forced back into the transfer market for a new centre-back, as former captain Harry Maguire mulls over a move to Premier League rivals West Ham United.
The Reds accepted an offer in principle from the Hammers for Maguire on Wednesday, meaning attention could now turn towards finding a replacement should the England international opt for a move to the London outfit.
United admire Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba while OGC Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo has also been linked. Bayern Munich's Benjamin Pavard is also rumoured to be another option for the Reds, while Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has also been mentioned as a possible target.
But Maguire may not be the only centre-back to depart United in the coming days. Reports coming out of Turkey have suggested Eric Bailly has agreed terms on a move to Super Lig outfit Besiktas.
