Manchester United told striker priority amid Rasmus Hojlund interest and Harry Kane links

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke believes Erik ten Hag should focus his attention entirely on Kylian Mbappe and abandon attempts to sign Harry Kane and Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dane has emerged as United's top striker transfer target this summer given Tottenham Hotspur may not be willing to sell their talisman to a Premier League rival.

Previously, chairman Daniel Levy has been reluctant to sell his top asset Kane despite interest from elsewhere. However, MEN Sport reported owner Joe Lewis had told Levy he must sell Kane this summer or secure him to a new contract so as to avoid him leaving for free at the end of next season.

It seems unlikely the England captain will extend his stay in North London beyond 2024.
