Manchester United takeover latest as support grows for Glazers protests

Manchester United supporters are only a few days away from the beginning of the Premier League season with Wolverhampton Wanderers visiting Old Trafford.

The opening clash of the campaign will also mark the first protest of the season against the Glazers' ownership of the club.

The 1958 fan group are calling on their fellow supporters to join them at the Trinity statue on Monday night to make their feelings towards the American family known.

The 1958 are calling on the current owners to depart United entirely and have promised these protests will continue as long as the Glazers remain at the club.

Pakistan Hockey Federation Bans Five Formers Players For Trying To Make Separate Federation
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday imposed a life ban on five former Olympians for trying to form a parallel body. PHF President Tariq Bugti said that former Olympian and internationals Nasir Ali, Khalid Bashir, Saleem Nazim, Abbas Ali and Haider Ali had been banned for life. "The PHF found them guilty of trying to run a parallel federation, stealing PHF records and using funds from a PHF account without approval," Bugti said. Since last year after Brigadier (retd) Sajjad Khokar was forced to resign as PHF chief after being in power for more than two terms, a power-struggle is going on between two groups to take control of the PHF.
