Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has joined up with England to continue his rehabilitation from a muscle injury. Shaw sustained a fresh muscle issue in last month's win against Luton Town and it was confirmed he could be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with the problem.

A brief statement issued by United said: "Luke Shaw has sustained a muscle injury and will be out for an extended period. Further assessment is still needed to determine the severity but we expect him to be absent for a few months." Shaw has begun rehabilitation on his injury at Carrington and his injury meant he couldn't be selected in the England squad for the international break, but he's been invited to St.

George's Park to continue his recovery around the England camp, so he can still be involved regardless.
