Former Manchester United icon Gary Neville has backed Raphael Varane's stance on the controversial new stoppage time rules which will be enforced in the Premier League this season.
The English FA has decided to implement a new rule which sees realistic time added on for incidents during matches including; goal celebrations, time-wasting and injuries.
In principle, it is deemed the rule will encourage the ball to be in play for longer and lead to better value for money for fans.
However, the rule change received criticism on the opening weekend of the EFL season with several 3pm matches finishing as late as 5:15pm due to the amount of added time.
