Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is set to be out for around two months with a recurrence of a foot injury he suffered in April.
Martinez fractured his metatarsal in the 2-2 Europa League draw with Sevilla on April 13 and he did not play again until the pre-season friendly win over Leeds United on July 12.
The centre-back aggravated his foot issue against Arsenal on September 3 but he managed to play through the pain barrier in the defeats to Brighton and Bayern Munich. United expect Martinez to be sidelined for around two months. United believe Martinez needs a period on the sidelines for recovery and rehabilitation and medical assessments are still ongoing for a more accurate estimation of how long he'll be unavailable for.
