Scoring just two Premier League goals via their centre-forwards so far this season, it is increasingly obvious what Manchester United's priority should be in this month's transfer window.
After achieving a respectable third-placed finish in the Premier League last season, which was built on a solid defensive structure, United felt the addition of a big-money striker in the summer would elevate their position.
However, their hopes of signing England captain Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur failed to get off the ground. Instead, United explored the opposite end of the spectrum when searching for a new goal-getter, signing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta in a deal that could eventually be worth up to £72million.
Whereas Kane was prolific and proven, Hojlund was raw and inexperienced.
