Manchester United supporters fear Rasmus Hojlund will not be ready in time to make his debut against Arsenal on Sunday. The £72m signing was not snapped during Tuesday’s training session, although the possibility remains that he could have trained away from the cameras.

Hojlund is yet to play having arrived at Old Trafford with a back injury. However, Denmark have still called him up for next month’s internationals with head coach Kasper Hjulmand confident the 20-year-old is nearing a return to action.

United have struggled in front of goal at times during their first three matches of the season. They edged past a wasteful Wolves in their opening game before losing 2-0 to Tottenham.

United did score three in their comeback win over Nottingham Forest but all of the goals came from midfielders. READ MORE: Hojlund hint and more things spotted in United training Marcus Rashford has largely been unable to have the same impact he had during last season’s 30-goal campaign.
