Manchester United are ‘looking at’ bringing in a new striker over the coming months, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth. The Red Devils were linked to several attacking targets over the summer, but new manager Erik ten Hag was unable to bring anyone in during his first transfer window at the helm.
United lost experienced forward Edinson Cavani on a free transfer following the conclusion of 2021/22, while five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo made his desire to depart the club clear.
As a result, Ten Hag was believed to be in the market for a forward and cast his eye over several intriguing candidates. Reliable Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg disclosed back to July that United were interested in signing Brian Brobbey from RB Leipzig and Sasa Kalajdzic of Stuttgart.
However, the pair moved to Ajax and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively, leaving the 20-time English champions to focus their attention and resources on alternative options.
