Manchester United want right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka “out the door” at Old Trafford, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. Wan-Bissaka made the £50m switch to United back in 2019 but lost his place in the team midway through last season and was left on the bench against Brighton and Brentford.

The 24-year-old quickly established himself as United’s first choice right-back following his move from Crystal Palace and kept his place in the side until last December when Diogo Dalot replaced him.

In Wan-Bissaka’s first two-and-a-half years at the club, he missed just seven top-flight games, but that changed when he was dropped following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure and has struggled for regular game-time ever since, with Dalot now Erik ten Hag’s number one right-back.

As a result, United are open to offers for the defender and while they would consider a loan with an option to buy, the Old Trafford club would prefer to get Wan-Bissaka off their books permanently.
