Manchester United are likely to be frustrated in their efforts to lure Victor Osimhen and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Old Trafford, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. Fresh from bolstering his attacking options after an £81.3million agreement was reached with Ajax for the arrival of Antony, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag could secure more fresh faces ahead of Thursday’s 11pm deadline.
According to Sky Sports, super agent Jorge Mendes is attempting to broker a deal which would see Osimhen swap Napoli for Manchester United ahead of the deadline.
The report suggests the Portuguese has proposed that the Red Devils will buy the 23-cap Nigeria international while Cristiano Ronaldo heads in the opposite direction, but the Serie A giants are seeking more than £100million for Osimhen.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Manchester United have made a fresh approach for Barcelona striker Aubameyang. The 33-year-old only left the Premier League a matter of months ago, when his contract was terminated at Arsenal by mutual consent.
