Man United 'beckons' for Jeremie Frimpong as Celtic transfer windfall skyrockets with Leverkusen decision made

dailyrecord.co.uk

Bayer Leverkusen star Jermaine Frimpong is reportedly on the brink of a move to Manchester United with talks between the clubs at an "advanced stage".

And that will have Celtic's higher-ups reaching for their calculators with the Scottish Premiership champions holding a bumper sell-on clause in the 22-year-old's current contract.

The 22-year-old Dutchman came through the youth system at Manchester City before making the move to Celtic Park for just £300k - where he lifted every piece of silverware on offer in Scotland before making an £11.5million switch to the Bundesliga.

Frimpong's profile has only continued to rise since he made the move to Germany as he showed his pedigree in European competition and has earned a call-up to the Netherlands squad.
