A man has made the bold decision to leave his £65,000 (85,000 USD) per year senior marketing job to pursue a career as a professional mattress tester.

Derek Hales, 34, from Scottsdale in Arizona, decided to make the switch after his "amateur reviews" gained significant attention online.

Now running his successful business called Naplab, Derek assesses the performance of mattresses, including a unique "sex score".

Since launching Naplab in 2021, Derek has tested hundreds of mattresses and developed a series of experiments to determine the best ones for a good night's rest.
