Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly planning to push Arsenal all the way in the race to sign West Ham United ace Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider, the Blues remain keen on recruiting the England international, with Rice tipped to leave the London Stadium at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old is out of contract next year and has previously spoken about his desire to play in the Champions League. The report claims that the Hammers are reluctant to let him enter the final few months of his current deal - with the midfielder able to agree a move to a foreign club in January 2024.

It adds that sources with knowledge of Rice's situation have revealed that West Ham may be able to command a fee of £70-80million for the player.
