Manchester City loanee Taylor Harwood-Bellis has been praised for his leadership qualities by England Under-21s manager Lee Carsley.

The 20-year-old is currently enjoying a loan spell at City legend Vincent Kompany's Burnley side in the Championship. So far the Englishman has started and played all of the Clarets' league matches this season.

Harwood-Bellis' successful development has seen him become captain of England's U21s and he wore the armband on Tuesday night as the Young Lions beat Germany 3-1 at Bramall Lane.

Former City man Felix Nmecha headed the German's ahead but goals from Folarin Balogun, Conor Gallagher and Blues star Cole Palmer ensured victory for the hosts.
