Manchester City star Jack Grealish would have been hoping to be part of the England squad for the Euro 2024 final, but his omission from the squad meant that he could take in the Wimbledon men’s final.
The former Aston Villa man was named in Gareth Southgate’s initial squad for the tournament but was one of the players to be cut before the team made their way to Germany.
He now has a point to prove in the 2024/25 season as he looks to win his place in the City team back. Grealish’s England teammates take on Spain in the final of the Euros on Sunday night as they look to make history and win the tournament for the first time.
If they win, they will also become the first senior England men’s team to win a major tournament since the World Cup in 1966. READ MORE: When were England last in the European Championship final?
