Manchester United are braced for a quiet January transfer window. The Reds are not planning to spend big as they take stock and look to the summer.

Departures, either permanent or on loan, will be the main action of the month as Erik ten Hag aims to get his squad and season back on track.

It means United will likely forge on for the rest of the campaign with what they have and that bodes well for some, and not so much for others.

The Reds are wary of Financial Fair Play and will be cutting their cloth accordingly with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos now in situ and awaiting Premier League ratification.
