Celtic have brought in Dundee star Luke McCowan to round off a hectic deadline day for the Scottish champions. The Dens Park chiefs knocked back a series of bids from Scottish Premiership rivals Hibs for the 26-year-old - with a fourth bid coming from Easter Road rejected just hours before the Hoops saw a £1m bid for McCowan accepted.
McCowan is the second midfielder of the day to be snapped up by Brendan Rodgers following the arrival of Arne Engels - with centre-back Auston Trusty also coming in before the 11pm deadline.
McCowan pens an three-year-deal after a frantic race to Celtic Park to seal the late move. The Celtic boss said: "We are really happy to welcome Luke to Celtic.
He is a player with great ability, energy and commitment and we are sure he will be a very positive addition to our squad." Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.
