The father of Celtic star Luis Palma has urged supporters to ignore a series of conflicting reports in Central America surrounding the future of the winger.

The 24-year-old has been reduced to a bit-part player and was off the pace during his latest appearance against Falkirk. The Honduras international showed flashes during his debut season, however, he is now down the pecking order and hasn't featured in either of the club's Champions League games.

A move in January has been mooted amid the downturn in gametime. Palma senior has urged for calm heads with Palma missing for his country in a bid to regain his form at club level under Brendan Rodgers.

Speaking Diario Diez, the unbowed Celtic star's dad, Enrique, said: “That is false. We shouldn’t stop everything that comes out in social media, many times things are invented there, one should not live on social media.
