Snow is expected to fall across Greater Manchester again today, as an amber weather alert has been issued across parts of the region and the north west.
Yesterday, (March 8) the Met Office issued another amber weather warning, covering parts of the north west, with heavy snow forecast to 'cause significant disruption'.
Snow is expected from Thursday morning but the alert predicts heavy snow could fall from 3pm today, covering a large area of northern England east of Greater Manchester which includes the Pennines.
