Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford will now be in a ‘really good place’ at Elland Road after returning to action following yet another injury setback, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton. Jesse Marsch spent just shy of £100 million in the summer transfer window but has had to make do without his first-choice striker for some of the campaign so far.
Bamford has returned after missing two Premier League clashes with injury earlier this season, coming off the bench against Everton and Brentford in the top flight.
Due to recent postponements, the £35,000 per-week star has not played in a first-team match since but picked up 76 minutes of action in an under-21 clash with Southampton.
The 29-year-old scored a hat-trick in the 6-2 victory, saying after the game that it was ‘always nice to come off the pitch with three goals’.
