Norwich City boss David Wagner admits outgoing stars from Carrow Road may not have the right blend of "potential and quality" as Kieran Dowell nears a move to Rangers. Record Sport revealed the 25-year-old is set to kick-start a pre-season revamp of Michael Beale's squad with the midfielder poised to pen a three-year deal at at the Light Blues when his Carrow Road contract expires this summer.
It's a blow for Wagner, who brought Dowell back into his first-team plans when he arrived at the club earlier this season. But Dowell's second chance at the Canaries was cut-short after picking up a knee injury in February.
Before his spell on the sidelines, Dowell has scored five goals in 26 appearances for the Championship side and Wagner had admitted the club were keen to extend his deal beyond the summer.
However, he appears to have changed his tune when speaking ahead of the final game of the season against Blackpool with a veiled swipe ahead his Scottish Premiership switch.
