Kate Garraway has admitted there's a 'long road ahead' as she shared the special moment Sir Elton John shouted her and her husband Derek Draper out at his recent show.

It was revealed on Tuesday (April 18) that the couple had headed to London's O2 arena to see the superstar singer on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

While on stage, Sir Elton told fans in the crowd that Good Morning Britain star Kate and her former political advisor husband Derek had endured "really tough times" following Derek's Covid ordeal which began in early 2020. "They’re inspiring," the 76-year-old said. "They’ve never given up and I’m so thrilled they’re here, I can’t believe they are here." He added: "I want to dedicate this song to the people I mentioned before, but especially to you guys." He then sang Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me for the couple who had attended the gig alongside their two children Darcey, 17, and Billy, 13.

Now, days after the memorable moment, Kate has shared a video to Instagram after she finally tracked down someone who managed to capture 76-year-old Sir Elton's dedication. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community "… so this was a moment.
