After joining Kaizer Chiefs from Swallows last season, Kgaogelo Sekgota has become a regular starter in Arthur Zwane's side following a stop-start first season where he had to be content with being an impact player off the bench. With nine games played so far this season, Sekgota has played in all but one match - he hasn't scored a goal but has had two assists.Despite the lack of end product from Sekgota, his aggressive and direct style has not gone unnoticed amongst the Amakhosi faithful and his coach Arthur Zwane.
With this being his second season at Chiefs, Sekgota understands the expectations and pressure playing for them. He knows he needs to start scoring.
However, he remains patient that his fortunes will turn around."It's a big club with high requirements. When we are winning you understand how great things are, when we're losing, we also understand how big a club it is," Sekgota told reporters. "Personally, I felt I was close to getting a goal last week (against Stellenbosch), unfortunately it didn't happen. "Game by game, there's different situations on a football pitch.
There's good chances and half chances in football matches, hopefully it'll come." Sekgota has been given a new lease of life under Zwane this season.
