Julian Sands' body found in Californian mountains five months after actor went missing

The body of British actor Julan Sands has been found in the mountains of southern California. Sands went missing five months ago on January 13 after he failed to return from a hike.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department confirmed that human mains found in the San Gabriel mountains were those of the 65-year-old actor.

His body was found by hikers and a coroner has since confirmed that the remains are those of Sands. “The identification process for the body located on Mt Baldy on June 24, 2023, has been completed and was positively identified as 65-year-old Julian Sands of North Hollywood,” the police said in a statement. “The manner of death is still under investigation, pending further test results. Last week Sands’ family released a statement saying they were continuing to keep him “in our hearts with bright memories”. The statement, released on Wednesday, said: “We are deeply grateful to the search teams and co-ordinators who have worked tirelessly to find Julian.
