Former English Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has deemed John Lundstram's red card as the WRONG decision - but can understand why it was given on the day.

Willie Collum brandished a straight red to the Rangers midfielder for his challenge on Martin Boyle during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Easter Road.

The dismissal was the first of two for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side as Alfredo Morelos was also sent packing in the capital.

The Light Blues lost a last-gap goal in injury time to drop their first points in the league this term. The Ibrox side have since lodged an appeal to the SFA for 'wrongful dismissal' with a fast-track hearing date yet to be set.
