Jim Goodwin gushes over St Mirren 'good moments' but Dundee United boss looks to spoil League Cup anniversary party

Jim Goodwin proudly lifted the League Cup as St Mirren captain and then admitted the on-going parties in Paisley left them sweating on their Premiership survival.

It is 10 years to the day since the Buddies beat Hearts 3-2 to lift that particular cup for the one and only time in their history.

Goodwin admitted it was the biggest highlight of his playing career and the memories will last forever as he and the rest of Danny Lennon’s team made themselves black and white legends.

After that Hampden triumph, they won one of their final eight games but lucky they had enough points in the bag to stay 11 points clear of relegated Dundee.
