Jack Ross has reportedly decided AGAINST taking over at Motherwell with just three managers now believed to be in the running for the Fir Park top job. 'Well chiefs have stepped up their efforts to source a replacement for Stevie Hammell in recent days despite interim boss Stuart Kettlewell getting off to a winning start on Wednesday night.
Talks with Ross and Ian Holloway were believed to have taken place on Thursday while it was also previously claimed Tommy Wright was a top target but he wanted a longer-term deal than was being offered.
But now the Scottish Sun say that Ross has pulled out of the running after "second thoughts" over where his future lies. The former Hibs and Dundee United boss was one of three external appointments they were considering and now it is down to Holloway, Grant McCann and current incumbent Kettlewell who will fancy his chances of landing it after a massive win over St Mirren on Wednesday.
