The Indian Premier League (IPL) is just over a month away, however, the schedule of the tournament is yet to announced. With the Lok Sabha 2024 elections set to be held later this year, there were doubts regarding the tournament being held in India.
However, during an interaction with news agency ANI, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed that the tournament will be held in India.
Dhumal revealed that the tournament will get underway in Chennai from March 22. However, he also revealed that the schedule will be announced for the first 15 days, with the remainder of the tournament set to be planned accordingly.
The IPL 2024 schedule will be revealed live on television, with another report claiming that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the opener, in what would be a repeat of last year's final.
