Hundreds of cars dumped and people seen lying on the road as police deal with huge illegal rave - live updates

Police have urged people not to attend a rave that has been taking place at the Kenfig Industrial Estate in Margam. A road into the estate has been closed and around 300 cars are parked on Water Street leading to Kenfig Industrial Estate.

Witnesses have described semi-conscious bodies lying on the road.Workers who shut the road gave said they were called in the early hours to close the road while police dealt with an illegal rave.

Members of the public have been told to avoid the area and not attend on foot or in vehicles. Road closures have been put in place and a police order to direct persons to leave the area is in force.South Wales Police said on Twitter at 3.43am on Sunday morning: “Police are aware of an illegal gathering at Kenfig Industrial Estate Margam.
