Manchester City will kick-off their competitive season on Saturday when they face Liverpool in the Community Shield. The traditional curtain raiser for the new season sees the reigning Premier League champions take on the holders of the FA Cup, although this year the showpiece fixture won't take place at Wembley Stadium.
That's because Wembley is hosting the final of the UEFA Women's European Championship on Sunday, which England - and a host of City players - will be playing in.
