Manchester City will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they take on Wolves on Saturday. Though City's 100 per cent start to the Premier League remains intact, they slipped to their first defeat of the campaign on Wednesday night as they were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle United.
Alexander Isak's goal was the difference at St. James' Park, though Pep Guardiola didn't seem too concerned after the loss significantly lessened his side's schedule.
But he will certainly be wanting his players to bounce straight back when they travel to the midlands to face lowly Wolves. Mateo Kovacic and Jack Grealish made their returns to the starting XI in the North East and appeared to come through the match unscathed. Guardiola still has some concerns though with Rodri serving the second game of his three-match suspension while Bernardo Silva could be back but John Stones remains sidelined for another week at least.
