Haason Reddick and the New York Jets have reached an agreement on an adjusted contract, the standout edge rusher's agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter, ending his prolonged holdout. «We will continue to work towards a long-term extension with the Jets,» agent Drew Rosenhaus, who negotiated the adjusted contract along with Jason Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha, told Schefter on Sunday.
Reddick will report to the Jets on Monday morning. The Jets agreed to waive over $12 million in fines in exchange for Reddick honoring his contract for the remainder of the season and returning to the team.
Jets owner Woody Johnson was said to be «very involved in working this out» with Rosenhaus. Johnson never had any intention of trading Reddick, despite inquires from other teams.
Reddick, 30, was acquired in a March trade with the Philadelphia Eagles and is seeking an extension that will pay him commensurate with the NFL's top edge rushers.
