Graeme Souness act sees Celtic and Rangers Hotline truce before Scott Arfield sparks another verbal war

dailyrecord.co.uk

You can imagine the shock that swept round Record Sport towers this morning as for a brief moment it appeared peace had broken out on the Hotline.

It came as caller Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, put down his slingshot and offered a hand of truce to Monday's contributor Paul Price after his heartfelt tribute to Graeme Souness’ charity work.

He said: “Respect to Paul Price, Belfast, for ignoring Old Firm loyalty when complimenting Graeme Souness on his charity swim for Isla Grist.

It brought a warm glow to a Hotline normally filled with bias. The charity work done by ex-Rangers and Celtic players should be commended and when people like Tommy Burns and Walter Smith pass away, both sides should express remorse.
