Games off and pitch inspections in Scotland as Livingston lead clubs facing freezing weather bite

dailyrecord.co.uk

The cold snap has arrived alongside the advent calendars as freezing temperatures threaten to wreck havoc upon the SPFL fixture list.

It might not be quite what Aberdeen had to endure in Finland against HJK on Thursday but plummeting temperatures are already forcing clubs into action ahead of the weekend.

Livingston's match with Ross County is already set for a pitch inspection while Stirling Albion are another who have moved to warn fans early that their game is in doubt.

Other fixtures across the lower leagues are also likely to fall to the cold temperatures and clubs will hope the impact is not too severe in order to avoid creating a fixture backlog.
